Welcome to StepIn (“the bot”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the StepIn Telegram bot or visiting our website (stepin.danalytica.com), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use StepIn.

1. What StepIn does

StepIn is a free Telegram bot that delivers daily summaries of Dutch news in your native language or in simplified Dutch (A2/B1/B2). It also provides a Practical Guide (arrival checklist) and a Document Assistant to help interpret official letters. The service is for informational purposes only – it is not official legal or immigration advice.

2. Using the bot

You agree to use StepIn in a lawful and respectful manner. You will not:

  • Attempt to reverse‑engineer, overload, or disrupt the bot’s functionality.
  • Use the bot to harass, threaten, or mislead others.
  • Scrape or bulk‑extract news content for commercial purposes.

3. No official advice

StepIn provides translated news and practical guidance based on publicly available sources (government websites, official announcements). However, we do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. For official decisions (visa applications, tax matters, legal procedures), always consult the relevant government agency or a qualified professional.

4. Account and data

You do not need to create an account – the bot uses your Telegram chat ID to remember preferences. You can stop using StepIn at any time. Our Privacy Statement explains what data we collect and how to request deletion.

5. Intellectual property

The StepIn name, logo, and code are owned by Danalytica. News summaries are derived from original Dutch sources – we do not claim ownership of the underlying news. You may share individual bot messages for personal, non‑commercial use, but you may not republish the summaries in bulk without our permission.

6. Limitation of liability

StepIn is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the bot, including reliance on translated news or practical guides. You use StepIn at your own risk.

7. Changes to the service

We may modify or discontinue StepIn (temporarily or permanently) at any time. We will try to give notice via the bot or website, but we are not liable for any interruption.

8. Third‑party links

The Practical Guide and Document Assistant may contain links to official websites (overheid.nl, IND, DUO, etc.). We are not responsible for the content or availability of those external sites.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. The latest version will always be available on this page. Your continued use of StepIn after changes means you accept the new Terms.
